Visit the Moon (and Mars)- with GoogleEarth

See the Moon close up!

This is an amazing resource for teachers presenting a space unit. Students can explore, view footage, hear audio commentary, view artifact locations, the list goes on. The intro page has a short video that explains what you can do. (There is also an option to explore Mars!) The guided tours are AMAZING!

"With Moon in Google Earth, you can:

  • Take tours of landing sites, narrated by Apollo astronauts
  • View 3D models of landed spacecraft
  • Zoom into 360-degree photos to see astronauts' footprints
  • Watch rare TV footage of the Apollo missions
Simply launch Google Earth 5, and select Moon from the top toolbar to start exploring."
