Booktrailers for all - search tool

Teresa Schauer, a District Librarian, in Pettus, Texas has been working on her site: Booktrailers For All. Her newest tweak is a search feature that makes it easier to find the clip you are looking for.

"With the search page, users are now able to search for book trailers by title, author, interest level, trailer creator, software used in trailer creation, and subject keywords.   Each entry includes a summary, information about the trailer creator, subject words, and links to the three sites where the trailers are housed:  4shared, You Tube, and Teacher Tube."  

To try it out, go to http://booktrailersforall.com  and click on the "Search" tab at the top.

Booktrailer Glogs

Jennifer Bednorz’s has created several Glogs* of Book Trailers - see below.  

( *Glogster provides an online poster creator, which enables video and audio to be added to the poster. There is a gallery of graphics available, but users can upload their own images and media. Users can record video and audio directly at the site.)

Jennifer's glogs are grouped by book list or genre. Could be an interesting way to present book trailers in your library. Create a glog that has trailers for books available in your library. The kids could click the trailers they want to watch on the computer from the interactive poster.

Creating a looping playlist for Booktrailers

*Book Trailers for All* (BTFA <http://booktrailers4all.4shared.com/>) is a

site that has been created for students, teachers and librarians to share

their self-created book trailers.  Each trailer (More than 130+) is

available for download in mp4 format.  

Once you have the trailers downloaded, you will be able to upload them into

iTunes for continual (or self-selected) playback via iTunes.  For directions

Bookjam Digital Book Report Contest

While this is open to US residents only, the site will allow you to see booktrailers as they are submitted. It might be a good way to jumpstart your own kids as they create a local "BookJam".
