American Indian Youth Literature Award

At the K-5 level, it is a "builder/makerspace-type" integrated curriculum that would mostly link to Science and Socials - maybe Art.  (TLs in Elementary schools would find opportunities to collaborate with the classroom teacher to support this, especially if you have already begun supporting Makerspace activities in your library.)

There's a nice tie-in to Makerspaces, Inquiry and Digital Literacy for Gr 6 & 7 students, with a nod towards coding.  (Take a look at the Grade 6-7 "Big Ideas and Learning standards" - especially Computational Thinking, Computers and Communications Devices, Digital Literacy, Media Arts, and Robotics.) Schools could also use locally developed material.
